Something I love about living in Colorado is that sometimes Mother Nature just up and decides to shut the whole place down for a while. Don’t worry about that appointment, you’re staying in today.
It’s been snowing now for two days straight. The whole town and most of the state has been shut down. Nothing to do and nowhere to go.
Just hanging out at the house.
Goofing around with the dogs.
Shoveling heavy, wet spring snow.
And in the evening, relaxing in the hot tub with an adult beverage while the snowflakes pile up on hair and eyelashes.
If you grew up in a part of the country where it snows you probably remember the thrill of waking up to a massive snow storm and discovering that school has been canceled. It’s the grown-up version of that. It doesn’t happen all that frequently anymore but it’s still as sweet. Maybe more so.
